For the Republicans

You’ll need this:

Because after all, that’s who you’re planning on voting for!

After all, he doesn’t think much of big government

or does, depending on the minute you ask him.  Still, his economic plans may create jobs for you

and his embrace of cutting edge “science”

Some people think that what he believes is wrong

But you’ll remain resolute

After all, it can’t be because of the  deficit

or the economy

The rest of us? After looking at you people, we came to a decision:

  1. You do have a way of putting things in a less muddled manner. :-)

    • Thanks! :-D My own opinion is that the worst thing that could happen to many of these Republican voters is if Mitt wins, along with a Republican Congress, and does what the Teapublicans have been saying they want to do.

Your right. For some reason these redstate repubs believe that when the GOP are talking about the “lazy moochers living off the government” their talking about the black and brown people. Just the look on their faces when they realize that they are the people that are going to loose their Medicaid, disability aid and food stamps would be priceless. And just yesterday someone from the Romney camp said that if they win, they will be going full blast with their austerary mandate. It is just sad they will take the rest of us down with them.

        • Even worse for them is that their tax rates will jump, both on the Federal level (if Mitt passes his tax plan) and on the state level, to cover all the things that the fed’s used to cover. Let’s also not forget that they’re in “natural disaster central.”

  2. And the most bizarre thing of all is to look at all the red states in the south – where the levels of poverty and ignorance are the highest. Romney insults them, pushes them aside, and yet, they’ll still vote for him. But President Obama will prevail. I’m going to wake up to much relief on Wednesday. It will be interesting to see if rotten people like Ann Coulter will fade into deserved obscurity after he wins. We can hope. Great post, Norbrook.

It’s sick. They wanted to get rid of the president so badly that they fixed it so that only psychopaths can run against him. I’ll say Mitt’s the perfect candidate for them. He’s just as sorry and full of shit as they are. It’s going to be fun when their votes don’t matter and they’re finally treated like the village idiots. After Obama, there’s no longer any obligation to be nice to them. As for congress, I’d like to think the Democrats will be getting organized so they can make themselves a permanent majority in the house and senate. This time there will be no Strom Thumond. What will really be funny is that there could be a president named Castro in the near future.

I’m not really interested in revenge. It would be nice if certain people discovered decency and gave up on their ideas of privilege.

    • What they did was to trade a short-term gain for long-term viability as a party. They don’t like it, but the reality is that this country’s demographics are shifting, and their pandering to the “angry white voters” and blatant racism managed to antagonize a large number of those blocks. For example, Latinos were considered, up until 2008, to be a group that was “naturally Republican,” and a future “base” of the party. After the past 4 years, the Republicans have ensured that for at least the next 20 years, Latinos will be a Democratic base.
